Cork Mental Health Public Speaking Project. 15/11/16

The Cork mental health public speaking project took place in the Silversprings Hotel Tuesday last November 15th. The project invites Transition Year students to speak on topics related to positive mental health. Three teams from Coláiste Treasa took part on Tuesday and all three qualified for the next round. Well done to all involved.

Science week. 

Science week in Coláiste Treasa kicked off on November 13th. Over the course of the week many events were held.

On Tuesday our first years took part in the “Mannequin Challenge” the results of which can be viewed on our you tube link on the school website:

Students were treated to a science magic show on Thursday and on Friday a quiz was held for all 1st and 2nd years.

Well done to the Coláiste Treasa U14 Girls football team, who continued their good run of form in defeating Gael Coláiste Mhuire, North Monastery in the county quarter final in a score line of 2:05 to 1:01

Kanturk Credit Union Art Competition 

Well done to 1st year student Patrick Buckley from Coolnagillagh, Millstreet who was one of the award winners at this years Art competition.

Coláiste Treasa Extension.

Work on two new science rooms and a Home Economics room will commence on Monday 28th November. It is hoped that this extension will be operational by September 2017.
