Leah claimed the overall prize in the intermediate section while Anna won the Bronze medal in the Recital Competition. Norita received a high achievement award for her piano performance. This is just reward for the girls as they have put in a huge effort into their various disciplines in the past number of years.

Well done to Charlotte Giles and Orlagh McCarthy who represented Coláiste Treasa Transition Year at the Mallow Toastmasters Public Speaking Competition. Charlotte took second prize for Best Speech while the two girls claimed the prize for Best Overall School on the night.

Well done to Ciara O’ Flynn and Nancy Lehane, who both received Garda Youth Awards.
Ciara achieved her award for her involvement in the Banteer Badminton club. Not only is Ciara an excellent badminton player she also contributes to the club in terms of coaching younger players and organising events .
Nancy, who lives in Meelin, received her award in recognition of her contribution to her local community . For the past number of years Nancy has taught both children and adults traditional music. This culminates each year when a group of musicians “hunt the wren” and raise money for the Cancer society, the Chernobyl Project and Pieta House, to name but a few.
Ciara and Nancy are pictured here, at the awards ceremony, with Tom O’ Connell who coaches both badminton and hurling  in Coláiste Treasa.
