Coláiste Treasa Badminton 2018

Well done to the Coláiste Treasa Badminton Teams who took part in the All Ireland Schools Badminton finals in Gormanstown , recently. The U14 Boys team won Gold and the U19 Boys division 2 team won silver with the U19 Boys Division 2 team just missing out on the silver medal also. The U14 victory is the 15th all Ireland Badminton title that the school has won since 2006 which is a fantastic achievement. Well done to their coach Tom O’ Connell and all involved.

Teagasc Trip

Coláiste Treasa Students, Darragh Twomey and Andrew Heffernan along with their Science Teacher Derry O’ Donovan were invited to Teagasc Moorpark, Fermoy to meet the Director of Teagasc, Prof Gerry Boyle.  This follows on from the BT young Scientist competition in January last, where the students won the Teagasc award  for their project on ‘ the effects of Pseudomonas Fluorescens L321 On Enhancing Barley Crop yield.
This involved lunch and a tour of the Dairy Research facilities at Teagasc, Fermoy.
Missing from the Photograph is Neil O’ Leary who was also part of the team that took part in the young Scientist competition.
