At Colaiste Treasa we prioritise equity and inclusivity, ensuring that every student’s educational requirements is met with compassion. Our expanding SEN Department is dedicated to providing essential assistance to students facing learning challenges, empowering them to reach their full potential.
Collaborating closely with local primary schools, our SEN department assesses the unique needs of incoming students, utilising CAT scores, PPADE scores and other information to gauge their abilities and identify any areas of difficulty in literacy and numeracy.
Students with special needs benefit from a range of tailored support options, including one-on-one tutoring, small group sessions, and collaborative teaching approaches. Communication between home and the SEN Department is a vital part of our approach to meeting the needs of our SEN students.
